How To Survive Life After Years of Schooling

Ever feel like the education system left something out?

Not the Bosco Sticks in the lunchroom – always needed two cups of sauce myself.

No, it’s something that supports our future. Yes, we were taught the ABCs of literacy which is the foundation to support our future.

But how about the ABCs of adulthood?

Admittedly, adulthood is the best I can come up with… so let’s move on.

“What say you about adulthood MonsieurMillennial”

A non-exhaustive list of adulthood challenges:

Wealth and Assets
  • 401k, asset allocation and tax loopholes
  • Loans, mortgages and insurance
  • Home maintenance, lawn care and dealing with repair[wo]men
Personal and Legacy
  • Life ambitions, career goals and family principals
  • Health; physical, mental and spiritual
  • Navigating corporate life or succeeding in entrepreneurial adventures

So why does ole Monsieur believe this?

No frigg’n clue! But I have no problem guessing and/or just making some shit up.

Though I am certain it’s neither the teachers nor the staff.

The Circle of Economics

First things first, money buy’s things.

Second things second, companies sell products.

Third things third, working at a company gets you money to buy said products.

Last things last, make many babies and buy a bigger house to then work more to make more money to buy more products.

…and the economy grows.

On the other end, if we make money and actually SAVE money the company misses sales.

…and the economy shrinks.

I think? Time will tell.

Over simplified? Yes!

Is it even true? Maybe! (but that’s why the internet exists cause now it’s true)

So, what’s my point?

The world is out to get you! Or, more so, your money!

The governments wants you to work forever to pay taxes. The companies want you to buy more and more products to grow their revenues. Society wants you to keep up with the Joneses so we all look alike and can fit in.

And the cycle reinforces itself until one day we ask, “how much longer until I can retire?” Here we Millennials are, looking at the calendar with 30 plus years to go. Checking the bank account to see expenses we don’t remember and our “bucket lists” growing but never being crossed off.

FML.

Maybe you are a bit like me in asking the questions below.

“Am I even living a life I envisioned for myself?”

“Have I ever taken the time to envision my future goals?”

“How do I take control of my future and break the circle of economics?”

How the Circle can Break

Now, back to our ABCs.

The invention of the printing press (est. 1440) brought the ABCs of knowledge to the average human.

The internet (est. 1983) is taking information from the rich and placing it in our hands.

That’s where ole Monsieur Millennial comes in to play. To learn from those mistakes and filter through the new information for the benevolence of those who follow. To help future generations discover purpose driven financial freedom and a stress free lifestyle – friendly to the environment.

Let this page serve as your starting point to a different understanding of the world around us. One old millennial’s guide on how to survive life after years of schooling.

Expect us to update this page often. It will serve as the framework we will focus on within Monsieur Millennial.

The Monsieur Millennial way

Our theory is that a personal objective and strong relationships are our roots; these support business (or career) objectives which then helps grow our wealth – allowing us to stretch and build a legacy.

Personal – keeps us grounded

Relationships – keeps us humble

Business – helps build wealth

Wealth – supports financial freedom

Stretch – allows us to dream

So, hello world! Welcome to Monsieur Millennial. We hope you stick around. Or don’t. Whatever.
